In support of the #1 Childhood Cancer Center in the Region

In 2007, one mother changed the future of cancer research at Children’s National by creating an event to bring awareness to the issue of childhood cancer. Over the years the event has evolved to the Heroes Curing Childhood Cancer Gala, the signature event providing vital support for childhood cancer research at Children’s National.

Every year we diagnose and treat more kids with cancer than Johns Hopkins, Georgetown Lombardi and Inova Fairfax combined, drawing kids from all over DC, Maryland and Virginia. We also treat patients from South and Central America, Africa and the Middle East.

All funds raised directly benefit the children being treated for childhood cancer at Children’s National Medical Center by supporting research to focus on innovative, new treatments to target cancer while keeping our children healthy.
